observe mode for gvg
Hi guys, i have a couple of question regarding observe mode for gvg matches and i hope u guys can help me out.
1. Wat do u guys normally look out for when u observe a gvg? 2. If my guild plays balance and i want to improve my tactic calling as a frontliner, wat specific guild should i watch or wat specific areas in obs i must pay more attention to? 3. Wat other ways can i apply wat i learn in obs mode besides actual gvg? Thx thx! |

1. Follow a person that plays your profession and learn what things he does right, and what mistakes he makes. Reading guides really help: teamquitter.com has some stuff on warrioring and monking.
2. You can't really "see" tactics calling on obs mode. You'll have to hear it on vent. Try contacting one of the guilds to see if you can listen in. For American times, qE, cLue, and VoD are the only guilds playing. For Euro times, you can pick between sup, uF, StS, or whoever happens to be playing then. 3. AB? You get a sense of how to split, when to split, what you can handle, what you can't, when to engage, when to run, etc. Remember, even if people call you noob runner, if you have 4 guys chasing after you, that means the rest of your team should be winning 11v8 |

1. If i want to watch specific people I watch those who (in my opinion..) do their job well (wont say specifics :P), but I like to just spend time watching the game as a whole, main thing is using the proper party screens so you can watch hexes (normally its only diversion and shame or water eles), try and think when they will break, have to fall back or will try to push (can they manage it?) makes it more fun + doing something in the background
2. I know theres been some vent recordings about, some are just bad with people shouting at each other, others good like some rawr I have heard, if you get a chance listen to that and get it hooked up to the right time on observe. 3. (what divine said..), I also think anything that gets you talking is nice so HA and TA both have their values if mainly for communication. ... but anyway that's just what I think... if its helps good PS try to have the score chart (O) and party screens (P) up when watching |

vent records will only be helpful if you manage to sync them with the game they're from. Because apart from what is said, it's also important when it is said, and who's saying it.
Surely listening to it will give you some basic understanding of different tactics. But you're still left in the dark about what provoked that approach (unless they specifically state the reason). |
